Sermon:

Semper Fi

Preached at: Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church
Date: January 28, 1996
Semper fi, the shortened form of semper fidelis, means “always faithful.” The United States Marines, though not a group of angels, have done extraordinarily well in exemplifying that motto for well over 200 years. For the entire history of the United States, from Guadalcanal to Okinawa, and all of the rest of the places where the marines have landed, the U.S. has been victorious. What about you? Are you always faithful? Are you always faithful to Jesus Christ? Dr. Kennedy addresses those who put themselves first and how they instead need to put the Lord first and then others. Included in this message is a reminder about those who are being persecuted for their faith.
