Sermon:

The Uniqueness of Christ

Scripture: John 14:6
Preached at: Coral Ridge Presbyterian
Date: September 21, 2003

Jesus Christ has no peers. You cannot do what one cult tries to do—put all the founders of religions in a line and worship them all. There is no peer with Christ. He is the solitary One that rises higher above all of the rest than Mount Everest does of an anthill. He is the unique figure. John Stuart Mill, one of the most brilliant philosophers and a skeptic who did not believe in Christianity, nevertheless, said this: “And whatever else may be taken away from us by rational criticism, Christ is still left—a unique figure, not more unlike all his precursors than all his followers ...” There are many religions, but there is only one Gospel; there are many teachers, but there is only one Savior—Jesus Christ—and He is without any peers. He is the solitary and unique Savior of the world.
